Over the course of my life, I’ve been shut down—not because I lacked wisdom, but because I am a woman. Masculinity is tossed to and fro, often elevated because Scripture addresses men more frequently. But does that mean women are only to speak at home? Are we only permitted to submit and remain silent?
I am a single woman. I have no earthly head. My head is Jesus Christ.
As it is written:
“The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” — 1 Corinthians 11:3
Yet Scripture also says:
“Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.” — 1 Corinthians 11:14–15
And again:
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:26
So I ask: Is it better I listen to man, or to God? Judge ye.
Because God has spoken through women before—and He still does.
